Terms of Service
Last updated: June 1, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of SynthPost (the “Service”), including the website at synthpost.ai and any related email recap features. The Service is operated by Earnest Software Engineering (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. What SynthPost Does
SynthPost is an AI-powered read-later and link curation service. Links are discovered, ingested, and summarized largely through automated processes, including third-party AI models. Summaries, titles, tags, and related metadata are generated without a human author reviewing each item before publication. You should treat all content as informational only and verify important facts against original sources.
2. Eligibility and Accounts
The public portions of the Service are available to visitors of all ages, subject to applicable law. Certain administrative or reporting features may require login credentials issued by us. You are responsible for safeguarding any credentials provided to you and for activity under your account.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service in violation of any applicable law or regulation;
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to systems, data, or accounts;
- Scrape, crawl, or overload the Service in a manner that impairs its operation, except as permitted by our robots.txt or with our written permission;
- Interfere with security features, rate limits, or bot-detection measures;
- Submit malicious code, spam, or content you do not have the right to share;
- Misrepresent your affiliation with us or with any third party.
4. Third-Party Content and Links
SynthPost displays summaries of and links to third-party websites and publications. We do not control, endorse, or assume responsibility for third-party content, products, or services. Your use of external sites is governed by their own terms and policies. Original articles remain the property of their respective owners.
5. Intellectual Property
The Service’s design, branding, software, and original compilation are owned by us or our licensors. AI-generated summaries on SynthPost are provided for your personal, non-commercial reading. You may not reproduce, sell, or systematically redistribute our content or summaries without permission, except as allowed by applicable law (such as fair use).
6. Email Recaps
If you subscribe to email recaps, you provide a valid email address and choose a delivery frequency. You may unsubscribe or change preferences using the links in each message. We may suspend or cancel delivery if your address bounces, generates complaints, or is otherwise undeliverable. Subscription is subject to our Privacy Policy.
7. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT SUMMARIES ARE ACCURATE, COMPLETE, CURRENT, OR FREE OF ERROR, OR THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR SECURE.
8. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE AND OUR OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND SUPPLIERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (US $100) OR THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your misuse of the Service or violation of these Terms.
10. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date above will change when we do. Continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
11. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for conduct we believe violates these Terms or harms the Service or others.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes shall be brought in the state or federal courts located in Miami-Dade County, Florida, and you consent to their jurisdiction.
13. Contact
Questions about these Terms may be directed to Earnest Software Engineering via the contact information on that site.
